Last of Fall

Another beautiful Fall weekend and I took a break from studying to play a round of frisbee golf with Buck and the pups. It seems this sport will always be a challenge for me but it also seems my attempts to get better provide too much humor for it to matter whether or not I'm improving

It is especially difficult when Otis mistakes our throws for a game of catch

Fall Pallette

It was a crisp Fall weekend in Pokey. The Farmer's Market yielded bright yellow, orange and red heirloom tomatoes, thick sweet corn, and warted squash. The cool weather kept us outside as we sipped on lattes near the train tracks, with the occasional crashing of the trains breaking the peaceful silence. Later, we prepared our closets for the colder weather that is moving in.

Sifted snow on the hill tops remind us winter is a few months away.

Hiking Jackson

Day two of our Wyoming vacation with my parents, we went for a 10 mile hike with a naturalist. We ascended to 10,400 feet to the summit of Jackson Peak where we had a spectacular view of the Tetons, the Gros Ventre and Snake River ranges. The ground cover on the trail was bright shades of fall with green, yellow, red and orange. We even tasted wild huckleberry our naturalist found off the trail.

Samp and Suz were well prepared with their hiking poles, cameras, and camel pack.
