Sweet Love and her Wubbie

We are in Jacksonville for Christmas and our sweet niece Julia turned 1 on the 17th. I gave her a lamb blanket when she was born that has become her "wubbie". She chews on the ears of the lamb and when you ask her "Where's your wubbie?" she drops what she is doing to find it. She is most precious.

Back from Jackson

Buck and I spent the weekend in Jackson, Wyoming with one of our favorite couples. After a yummy meal on Friday night, a fake-out celebrity sighting, and a great day of skiing, we were treated to a spectacular sunset on our way home.

Christmas time is here

Christmas in Pokey

The first present under the tree

Baby Buck

In 3rd grade, Bucky had to make an ornament with a picture. He chose a picture of his 3rd grade teacher. If she only knew she made it to our tree in Idaho 18 years later

Baseball, Fishing, and hunting are the themes of Buck's ornaments

Our little barn with the red door

Winter's first snow has fallen and we are staying warm inside with the big black dog and the little pig. Bucky has wrapped up his fall fishing with a trip to the South Fork in Swan Valley, ID and the Madison in Yellowstone. I accompanied him a few weeks back on his endeavor to catch a spawning brown on the Snake, but we had little luck and a lot of snow. It was beautiful. He did catch a vibrant fall-colored cutthroat after sticking it out in leaky waders. (He said he could feel ice crunching between his toes)

Thanksgiving was not the same without our families, but Bucky and I had a few treats sent from our moms that helped remind us of home. We are enjoying Pokey and settling into a rhythm out here. We are also really excited to add skiing to our schedule. Speaking of which, Jackson Hole had a record snowfall this weekend and we hope to test out our new (to us) ski's from the ski swap in the upcoming weekends.

And here are some recent snapshots:
