Sustainability

"I sustain myself with the love of family"- Maya Angelou

We recently spent a week in the south and I was reminded of the sustenance I find there

Sustenance (n.): Food or drink regarded as a source of strength; nourishment
The maintaining of someone or something in life or existence.

I feel nourished with love and blessed by the kindness of the most loving in laws

I feel unconditionally supported to pursue personal growth and strengthened by this amazing family.

My soul needed a vacation surrounded by those who sustain me with their love
and I could not be more grateful for the time I spent with them.
After landing in Atlanta, we surprised my mom with a weekend of "glamping" (glamorous camping) in northern Georgia where we hiked, ziplined, and grilled out.

A few steps up from the camping we do out west, I now understand the value of AC

We had a slumber party with out nieces the first night we were home and
I shared a bed with Julia. Throughout the night I felt her soft hand graze my face and
her tiny foot reach for mine as she checked to make sure I was still there.
Waking up to her mumbling "hey aunt Moogs!" through her pacifier was a gift.
They become more precious everyday; I pray they will never doubt my unconditional love.

Sharing them with Aunt Megs is such a joy

We had Jacksonville Suns game rendezvous with Helen that made for a relaxing night:

And a day trip north to scout out Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island that was productive and tasty.

We finished our trip with a day on the beach for the 4th.
The Atlantic Ocean has never treated me so well

It usually takes me a few weeks to transition back into my groove here after returning from a visit home, but after landing in Jackson and as we drove over the pass,
I felt my heart was (surprisingly) settled.

The landscape welcomed us home and my soul felt rested.
