Chicago Treat

The Canerdays treated us to a fabulous weekend in Chicago at the end of August.
Beautiful art, delicious eats, a classic ball park visit, and excellent company made it a memorable Labor Day weekend.

Many sites were seen as calories were burned (later consumed via deep dish pizza) and we ended our filled days on the couch in the hotel. Leaving work stress behind was effortless.

Even though Buck and I were made aware of what poor shape we are in after walking all day,
 we enjoyed all of the sites and especially being with our family.
Thank you Bec and Vic for hosting the perfect trip to Chicago;
it was a pleasant change of pace from the pokey life.

Summer Trip

Buck and I recently got back from a 10 day camping trip in Montana, Canada, and Idaho. It was a beautiful and memorable. As an early 30th birthday present I put together this video.

Wags go West

Megs flew into Jackson a few weeks ago to visit our lives in the West.
After hiking the Tetons, sipping on sangria at the Amangani, and wildlife spotting in Jackson, we drove south where I introduced her to the Pokey life.
(I think she was a little more impressed with Jackson though)

 While in Jackson we stayed in an apartment south of town with a beautiful view of the Tetons

Beast and Blake's Western Adventure

July was a busy month with welcomed visitors from the south. We had a successful fishing and sight seeing weekend in Yellowstone with Uncle Beastie and Blake. Blake was hoping to come home with a baby bison but unfortunately left empty handed.

Buck made sure to include a stop to Apollinaris Spring on our Yellowstone tour. He read in a book about the natural effervescent water that many would stop and sip for good luck. But, after drinking much of it, we realized the book was copyrighted in 1992 and saw a nearby sign that clearly warned us to NOT drinkit. Here is the aftermath...
